Several years ago, I had raised some wildflowers and found many to be photogenic, so I was compelled to try my hand at macro photography, and thus began a totally unexpected passion. As a result I have grown almost all of the flowers in this gallery with the added benefit of the enjoyment of gardening.
For those interested, I use a 105mm macro lens for all of my flower images, I make scans from the transparencies and prepare them for printing in Adobe Photoshop. The 16x24 prints that produced are of excellent quality. They are printed by a fine professional lab on color photo paper and are truly spectacular.
